Acuspa is tucked into an upstairs suite in a plaza in Pasadena's South Lake District. The friendly couple who owns the facility did an incredible job of creating a peaceful, soothing environment in a relatively small space by making use of high ceilings and carefully chosen fixtures and decorations. A serene client relaxation area includes tea, water and fruit to nosh on before and after treatments. There is no sauna or steam room, but a shower, towels and plush robes are available in the small locker/changing room.
We were treated to a facial by a skillful and attentive aesthetician. In addition to a cleansing and hydrating facial, our 60-minute treatment included an upper body massage, upper lip waxing and lavender-scented paraffin hand dip. We left the spa with soft skin and a smile, grateful for the friendly service we had received.
