Red Carpet Ready Hair Treatment

Bella Nella's small storefront doesn't hint at the comprehensive facilities within, which include a full salon and separate day spa, and even a roomy patio out back. We recently visited the Glendale salon/spa to try out the Red-Carpet-Ready Hair Treatment, which offers the best of both worlds: professional styling and pure indulgence.

After changing into a comfy robe, we settled into the spa's waiting area, where we were tempted with an assortment of sinful-looking pastries and celebrity rags. While we could easily have killed an hour with these guilty pleasures, it wasn't long before Janea showed up to begin our treatment. She asked us a bit about our hair care regimen and explained the treatment, which exclusively uses Kerastase products.

Our treatment began with an extended shampoo and head massage, which took place in a peaceful private room. We were also treated to a moisturizing hand and arm massage. Then Janea meticulously applied a deep conditioning treatment to the ends of the hair and placed us under a sort of steaming helmet that allowed the product to penetrate. After about 15 minutes, we headed back to the shampoo room for a rinse before returning to the styling chair. Next came the application of nutritive and volumizing Kerastase products in preparation for our blowout. Throughout the process, Janea carefully explained what each product did, why she chose it and how to apply it, and also dispensed invaluable styling tips that we could use at home.

This was the Red-Carpet-Ready Hair Treatment, after all, so Janea went all out on the styling - blow-drying, applying fat curlers and flat ironing to leave our hair silky smooth and full of body. If we didn't already have plans to go out that night, we would've made some. Our session lasted about an hour and a half and left us feeling both pretty and pampered. It's the perfect way to prepare for a big holiday party.
