Social Spa-ing at Its Best

How can you make a great spa experience event better? By spa-ing in the comfort of your own home, of course. Throw in a few spirited friends and you've got the perfect evening. Doorstep Day Spa is a completely mobile spa service that offers surprisingly reasonable rates for their at-home pampering services, and we were eager to try them out.

Regina and Heather showed up at the house about half an hour before guests arrived to set up the massage table and various relaxation aids (candles, music, etc.) in the bedroom, and hand and foot stations outside on the patio. Each of the lucky spa party attendees was treated to a private half-hour massage including hot towels and aromatherapy, as well as a paraffin hand treatment and a reflexology foot treatment. While the types of treatments didn't vary between guests, we were each treated to a completely customized experience – this ability to tailor each treatment to the recipient's individual needs is one of Doorstep Day Spa's specialties. In addition to being skilled massage therapists, Regina and Heather were both fun ladies who added to the relaxed party vibe, making the experience that much more enjoyable for everybody

When Heather and Regina left us a few hours later, we were all feeling utterly relaxed. They even gave us each a little goodie bag with a candle and bath soak packets as a farewell gift. Doorstep Day Spa definitely knows how to make a gal (or rather, a group of gals) feel special.
