As our readers already know, Chill Out LA's editors are on a never-ending quest to find cheap places to get massages that are neither skanky nor sketchy...so we were delighted to come upon the Healing Hands Wellness Center, which offers massage and other wellness services at more than reasonable prices.
We visited the Larchmont Blvd. location in Hollywood (a second store has since opened a few miles west on 3rd St.). The meticulously clean facility features hardwood floors and a calming, Asian-inspired design theme. Healing Hands doesn't have a sauna or steam room, but a shower and fresh towels are available for patrons who wish to freshen up after treatment.
Healing Hands' licensed therapists and doctors specialize in Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and pregnancy massage, as well as shiatsu, acupressure, acupuncture and chiropractic treatments. Treatment rooms are cheerful and airy, with warm, comfy massage tables to accommodate your tired-out, knotted-up body. We indulged in a deep tissue massage from a talented masseuse; we could tell during and after our session that her skilled hands were effective in finding and working out the kinks. The only thing that helps relax me is a deep massage and the best I've found in LA is right down the street from me at Healing Hands. Not only are they amazingly good the cost is just right and you can park in front.
