Microdermabrasion That Comes to You

Between the stress and the smog, living in Los Angeles can take the bloom off anyone's cheeks. Schlepping to get your skin taken care of can become just another errand (the traffic! The parking!). Enter your complexion's salvation: facialist Lauree and microdermabrasionist Mindy of Peels on Wheels. Lauree and Mindy will revive your skin in the comfort of your own home, and if you get six or more friends together for a Peel-a-thon, your treatment is complimentary.

After arriving, the ladies had their massage table and equipment set up in our living room in five minutes flat. Lauree began with an efficient cleansing and extracting facial. Then she consulted with Mindy regarding the areas of our face that need extra attention so that Mindy could take over. We were nervous about the microdermabrasion - would it hurt? Would our skin be red for days? Mindy explained how the tool, a cross between a vacuum cleaner and a sander, operates and reassured us that it wouldn't be uncomfortable. Sure enough, we barely felt anything as she ran it over our skin, focusing on the trouble spots Lauree had identified.

We couldn't believe how good our skin looked when she was finished - smooth as a baby's bottom and glowing pink (not red!). Mindy showed us what looked like a pea-sized gob of dryer lint and explained, "That's what I took off your skin!" She then gave us goodie bags filled with cleanser and sunscreen samples. The ladies took another five minutes to pack up and leave, and we'd had so much fun that we were sorry to see them go.
