Can You Say Decadent?

Is there anything better than opening your front door and finding a massage therapist there, asking to come in? We don't think so, especially now that we've been visited by Martine from Spa Connections on a lazy (and we mean lazy) Sunday afternoon. She arrived ten minutes before our scheduled appointment, and set up her table and comfy flannel sheets right there in our living room. Like most of the other Spa Connections therapists, Martine is well versed in Swedish, Shiatsu, Thai, deep tissue, pregnancy and sports massage, among other schools, so she can combine techniques to make each client's treatment just so.

Martine treated us to a full-body massage, paying special attention to a sore area under the right shoulder blade. She discovered the source of the ache, an out-of-whack disc, and took some extra time gently prodding the spine back into alignment. She expertly rubbed and stretched the legs and shoulders and treated the feet to an energizing dose of reflexology. She finished us off with a fabulous facial massage, and a dash of Reiki energy work.

Spa Connections offers many other services besides massage: mani/pedis, tanning and hair removal, to name a few, and they'll go anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange County, from offices to film sets. Their mobility makes them an ideal choice for bridal showers, spa parties, or just a lazy (did we mention lazy?) Sunday at home.
