The Lounge Spa, located near Culver City, can best be described as "groovy." A talented designer must've had a hand in the mid-century modern décor, which communicates a fun, retro-space-age vibe, and the well appointed facilities belie the inexpensive treatment prices. The spa's swingin' theme is echoed in its cocktail-themed treatment names (Spatini Facial, Grand Marnier Meltdown, etc.) Upon arrival, we were offered our choice of Elixir tonics and teas at the bar in the spa lobby. We changed into the robe provided in the locker room, and then sipped ice water in the cozy women's lounge as we waited for our treatment to begin.
Massage therapist Joy led us to a spacious treatment room decked out in a yummy chocolate-mint color scheme. The massage began with a heat pack on the back to warm up and soften the muscles - a lovely touch. While her technique was mainly Swedish, Joy incorporated assisted stretching similar to Thai massage, which allowed her to work more deeply and loosen up some of our knots. She occasionally asked for feedback to make sure the pressure was right and the heat pack wasn't too hot, but for the most part, we were allowed to zone out in peace and quiet for the duration of our relaxing massage. After the treatment, we took our time dressing and freshening up in the well appointed locker room.

This is a great place and I will definitely refer/go back.
The best way to describe this place is a mini Burke Williams spa. It has all the perks and amenities of a major spa (except for the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and sleep room). Otherwise, there's no real difference - there are showers, tea, apples, water, towels, bathrobes, slippers, q-tips, blowdryer, etc.
The place is a small and comfortable so you might want to stop by on a slow day (not the weekend).
Other than that, this is a no frills but relaxing (and much cheaper than other spa prices) place to get a facial or massage.
