A Secret Skin Care Haven
 

Tucked away on a nondescript corner in Woodland Hills, the Spa Loft has the pleasant atmosphere of an upscale hotel spa. Healthy snacks await in the comfy lounge area, and a small-but-immaculate changing room features lockers, robes and disposable slippers. The décor is all cushy chairs and dark wood, and the facility is delightfully quiet (in stark contrast to the fitness center located downstairs).

Our facial with Sharin featured mostly Epicuren products, beginning with a mineral cleanser. Next came an absolutely blissful massage of the face, neck and shoulders using a rich kukui nut/coconut massager cream. We were convinced that Sharin moonlighted as a massage therapist, she was that good. After she'd softened us up with the massage, she proceeded with no-nonsense extractions, using an extraction tool to work free those stubborn blackheads around the nose. Then came a rich moisturizing masque, a hand and arm massage, a lovely rubdown with hot wet towels, and finally, the application of Epicuren's Ultra Rose Treat moisturizer, layered with a complementary hydrator and conditioner to help activate the enzymes in the Rose Treat and seal in moisture. We left the Loft with pink cheeks and crystal clear pores.
